Gravity

Gravity

This installation merges culinary art that challenges gravity itself, creating a sensory experience that questions our relationship with food, gravity, and the spaces between.

A constellation of 500 white, satellite-like helium balloons hovering at eye level throughout the space. Each balloon carries a specially designed chocolate praline created in collaboration with Ika Chocolate. These pralines capture the essence of local flavors through aromatic herbs and charred earth notes. Their texture and appearance more closely resemble a seed, representing potential of growth and renewal.

The tension between the upward pull of the balloon toward space and the downward pull of the praline toward earth creates a delicate, magical floating choreography. Visitors are invited to take a bite without using their hands, like astronauts do in space. Once the weight of the praline is consumed, the balloon is free to float upward into the horizon.

Created  for the Israeli Space convention hosted by Rakya Mission.

January 2025 at Eretz Israel Museum.
